Josse Pyl

Josse Pyl (1991) was born in Belgium and lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He studied at the KASK, Ghent and graduated from Werkplaats Typografie, Arnhem in 2016. Between 2017-2018, Pyl was an artist-in-residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Pyl has had solo presentations at 019, Ghent, and at Annet Gelink Gallery and De Brakke Grond, both in Amsterdam. He participated in group shows at Ljubljana Biennial, The Tallinn Art Hall, NEST, The Hague, DASH Gallery, Kortrijk, Stedelijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten, Sint-Niklaas, Biennale van Belgiƫ, Ghent, Sign, Groningen and Art Rotterdam. Pyl is currently acting as guest tutor at the temporary MA programme Approaching Language at the Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam and KASK, Ghent.
